Understand Optimal Feature Configuration, Price and Market Acceptance for a Consumer Electronics Company's Line Extension.

Outsource Research used Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint to explore feature configuration, price and preference for a product extension targeting higher-income consumers. Customers, competitors’ customers and prospects were targeted. We discovered the optimal price point, after which preference began to decline, we showed which features most drove preference, we revealed market acceptance, and we projected market sizing using MRI data.

Determine Preference for Features and Gauge Price Sensitivity for a Software-as-a-Service Company's New Product.

The client was trying to understand the value of various features that differentiated two of their products. Additionally, they wanted to obtain a broad gauge of how much more people might pay for the higher-end product. They were not ready to do a conjoint, as this was a first step in a longer research strategy, so Outsource Research employed MaxDiff Scaling and the van Westendorp Price Sensitivity Meter to show which features were more preferred, and to show differences in optimal price points and price banding for the products.

Project Management, Survey Programming, Sample Management, Fielding and Banner Tables for a Research Company.

The client had complex online survey programming needs and wanted someone to procure and manage sample, fielding and data processing. Outsource Research gave questionnaire feedback to the client, programmed an online survey that had extremely complex logic that needed custom Perl scripting, took competitive bids from sample vendors, procured and managed sample, performed data management, cleaning and weighting, and produced banner tablesSPSS and Wincross were the data processing tools used.

Consultation on the Use of MaxDiff Scaling and Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint Software for an In-House Research Group.

The client had recently acquired the Sawtooth Software MaxDiff Scaling and Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint modules, and they wanted consultation to make sure they were correctly setting up their first projects. Outsource Research provided consultation on design, programming, analysis and reporting for these projects. Additionally, Outsource Research hosted the surveys.
